Maine Governor Paul LePage told the press yesterday that State Sen. Troy Jackson is "the first one to give it to the people without providing Vaseline. He is bad. He has no brains, and he has a black heart."
Sen. Jackson's black-hearted crime? Overturning the Governor's budget veto to avoid a state shutdown.
Not only is it unbecoming of a state politician - let alone the Governor - to personally denigrate a State Senator simply because of a policy disagreement, but to invoke explicit sexual commentary is completely inappropriate. Today, the Governor went so far as to suggest he isn't interested in serving as Governor anymore saying instead that he might run for US Congress - for the very seat being vacated by Mike Michaud for the purpose of running against LePage for Governor. Huh?!
It's time for Governor LePage to resign - and stop embarrassing the people of Maine once and for all.
